movement in the 1990s in the UK made famous by direct action and free party
culture.
Enclosure Enclosure is the process of subdividing communally held land for
individual ownership, mainly associated with twelfth- to nineteenth-century
England. Contemporary movements against the privatisation of land and the sale
of public goods are regarded as struggles against the new enclosures.
