Fifty women across the Taraba state have received hundred thousand naira Cheques each courtesy of the wife of the state governor Mrs Agyin Agbu Kefas.
According to our reporter Shafu Ibrahim the presentation of the cheque was performed by the wife of the state Governor, Mrs. Agyin Agbu kafas last Monday in her office as part of her contribution and support to women in need especially at this crucial economic hardship.
Presenting the cheques to beneficiaries, wife of the taraba state governor, Mrs. Agyin Agbu Kafas disclosed that, the women were drawn from the sixteen local government areas of the state with the aim of helping.

She warned the beneficiaries against spending the money on things that will not bring profit to the family especially buying accessories, emphasizing that, the goal of the programme is to ensure that women particularly house wives have gainful engagement and add value to the society.
The Governor’s wife promised to operate an inclusive programme that will carry every woman along in the state through serving and touching lives.
Addressing the women during the disbursement, the coordinator, Pastor Shillo Aluwa said, the programme is initiated by the governor’s wife to provide welfare and ameliorate poverty among women and children in the state.
He appealed to the beneficiaries to use the money to access wealth and increase resources that will better their lives and their families.
According to him, the hundred thousand naira given to them is to serve as capital, and advised them to make judicious use of it so as to reduce the rate of challenges being faced.
