The executive governor of Taraba state Dr Agbu Kefas has pledged to initiate developmental projects to the good people of Karim Lamido local government area of Taraba state.
The governor stated this while speaking during a peace and dialogue forum between karimjo and wurkun in Karim town, the administrative headquarters of Karim Lamido local government area.
According to our reporter shafiu Ibrahim, the governor was represented by the former PDP chairman of Taraba state Alhaji Inuwa Bakari
Dr Agbu Kefas lamented the renewed hostility between the wurkun and karimjo communities which claimed several lives and the destruction of property among other damage meted on the socio economic activities.
Strict measures must be taken against this brewing tension
He said, his administration has taken strict measures against those brewing tension and reiterated that whoever is caught igniting crisis would be dealt with decisively according to the law and charged traditional rulers of the communities to keep an eye on their communities and fish out bad eggs.
The national president of wurkun community development Association Comrade Wilfred Yambakam kwanchi called for strict punishment on those creating trouble from all communities which will serve as a deterrent to others.
Also speaking, the national president of karimjo community development Association Hamman Adama Adamu stressed the need for harmonious relationship among the people of the area.
The meeting extensively brainstormed on the impact of the crisis as all participants unanimously agreed to live peacefully with one another.
